Gwen graduated from San Jose State University (California, US) with a Bachelors of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development. During her college years, she worked as a student teacher aide at Mission College Child Care Center and part-time assistant teacher at Bright Horizons Child Care Center, where she cared for toddlers to pre-kindergarten kids.
After graduating in May of 2013, Gwen worked as the Head Teacher at Mustard Seed Learning Center’s new preschool program. She planned and implemented the entire preschool curriculum and setup.
Gwen moved back to Singapore in 2014. Before joining the Early Intervention Programme of Thomson Paediatric Centre, she was working with Cambridge Child Development Centre as a supervisor cum administrator.
