Niamh Donnelly is a Senior Occupational Therapist from Ireland, graduating from the University of Ulster in Jordanstown. In her most recent role, Niamhworked as an Occupational Therapist and Manager in the private practice sector in Singapore. Prior to her arrival in Singapore, Niamh has worked with Parkview Special School, and a private practice in Ireland, handling a variety of roles including, assisting with children in mainstream and special needs classrooms and performing OT assessments and intervention sessions.
Throughout her career, Niamh has worked with a variety of children with developmental and physical needs. She has been posted to services such as Community Health OT Services, Acute Mental Health, Brain Injury, and adult learning disability services. Niamhhas managed a caseload ranging in age from infants to teenagers and young adults with various needs including those with sensory integration difficulties, feeding challenges and those with various motor and learning challenges. Niamh has also given talks in the SENIA international conference on Executive Function skills of school aged children.
In her spare time, Niamh likes travelling to different countries and playing sport. She also likes to participate in charitable organisations around the world to raise funds for children.
Training and workshops attended:
Handle Approach, DIR – Floortime, Karen Stagnitti Learn to Play, Sensory Integration. She also has had formal and informal training in the areas of managing challenging behaviors, Executive functioning skills and NDT/REFLEX training.
