Ms. Sanamjit Kaur
Bachelors of Psychology (James Cook University, Australia)
Sanamjit completed her Bachelors of Psychology from James Cook University, Australia (Singapore Campus). Prior to working at the Child Development Centre, Sanamjit worked as an Educational Therapist in a private set up for a couple of years.
Through her working experience, she has acquired the relevant training in providing educational therapy to children, adolescents and young adults with autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, cerebral palsy, behavioral issues, non-verbal needs and specific learning disorders like dyscalculia, dysgraphia and dyslexia. Sanamjit has also provided one-to-one therapy for young adults through their tertiary education years. She has worked with local and expat clients. Apart from individual therapy, Sanamjit is familiar with administering tools such as the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT), Test for Auditory Processing (TAPS) and the Test of Visual Perceptual Skills (TVPS).
As an educational therapist, she has been given the opportunity to work closely with other professionals; allowing collaborations whilst keeping in mind the best interests of the child. Sanamjit believes that educational therapy is essential in enhancing cognitive processes that aids in a child’s development.
Sanamjit often uses multi-sensory approaches that help enhance the learning experience through therapy. She strongly believes in the importance of motivation that leads to success. It is important for children to enjoy learning; therefore, Sanamjit works towards creating fun and enjoyable sessions for her clients allowing them to enjoy the learning process. She is extremely passionate and takes pride in her work. She often goes out of her way to help her clients.
